Warranty Policy
1. Introduction
This Warranty Policy outlines warranty coverage for workmanship and parts supplied by The Company. All warranties comply with New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), unless the customer is acquiring services for business purposes.
2. Workmanship / Labour Warranty
The Company provides a workmanship (labour) warranty on all mechanical repairs, upgrades, installations, and servicing.
2.1 Warranty Period
Standard labour warranty: 90 days or 5,000km (whichever comes first).
For major work (e.g., engine rebuilds, transmission repairs), warranty terms may vary and will be stated on the invoice.
2.2 What Labour Warranty Covers
Covers defects directly caused by:
Incorrect installation
Poor workmanship
Failure to follow standard mechanical procedures
Repairs will be carried out at no cost to the customer if the fault is proven to be caused by workmanship.
2.3 What Labour Warranty Does NOT Cover
The labour warranty does NOT cover:
Failures caused by unrelated components
Wear-and-tear or maintenance issues
Damage caused by off-road use, racing, abuse, or neglect
Damage from customer modifications or third-party work after the service
Pre-existing faults that were not repaired
Tuning-related stress failures (engine/driveline/components)

3. Parts Warranty

3.1 Supplier / Manufacturer Warranty
All parts supplied by The Company are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
3.2 Warranty Claims for Parts
The Company will assist with supplier warranty claims.
Warranty decisions for parts are made by the manufacturer, not The Company.
Replacement parts may require inspection or return to the supplier.

3.3 Exclusions for Parts Warranty
No warranty applies to:
Customer-supplied parts
Electrical components that have been installed and then fail due to external issues
Performance parts used beyond normal specifications

4. Tuning & Performance Upgrades Warranty

4.1 No Warranty on Performance Gains or Component Longevity
Due to the nature of ECU/TCU tuning and performance modifications:
No warranty is offered on engine, driveline, or component failures that occur after tuning.
Increased power and torque can accelerate wear on factory parts.

4.2 Tuning Adjustments
If drivability issues arise directly from the tune, The Company will provide adjustments within 14 days of the initial tune.

5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Follow recommended maintenance schedules
Disclose all prior modifications and tuning
Notify The Company immediately if an issue occurs
Stop driving the vehicle if a fault appears
Failure to follow these steps may void the warranty.
6. Warranty Claims Process
1. Contact The Company with details of the issue.
2. Return the vehicle for inspection (required for all claims).
3. Warranty work must be carried out ONLY by The Company.
4. If a fault is covered under warranty, repairs will be completed at no cost.
If a fault is not covered, normal labour and diagnostic fees apply.

7. Exclusions & Limitations
Warranty does not cover:
Consequential or indirect damage
Towing costs
Loss of income or downtime
Failures caused by off-road impact or environmental conditions

8. Business Use (CGA Exclusion)
If services are acquired for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

9. Governing Law
This Warranty Policy is governed by New Zealand law.
